Lockdown update, 6 November

As far as we are able to ascertain, private music lessons are not permitted under the current lockdown regulations.

However there is some uncertainty and there may be further clarification from the Government in due course.

For now the position is that the Hindhead Music Centre offices will remain open, but all music lessons will take place on-line until 2nd December when lockdown is due to end.

We are very sorry for any disruption.

When the situation changes again – hopefully on 2nd December but maybe before then if clarification of the regulations permits – please be reassured that we have made major alterations within the Hindhead Music Centre to ensure Covid-19 safety, including a new one-way system round the school, two-metre distancing tapes on the floors, sanitisers every few metres on walls, screens in the teaching rooms, and restricting teaching to only the largest teaching rooms.

We hope it won’t be long before we welcome our pupils back to Hindhead, but in the meantime it’s perhaps worth pointing out that in the previous lockdown, many pupils found online teaching very successful, and indeed several preferred it and have asked to continue. The saving in travel is one obvious advantage!

If you are house-bound and looking for something to do, why not learn to play a musical instrument! All in your own home! Give us a ring!
